HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYBODY!!!!
I hope all is well!

Happy Birthday Mommybaby! I bless God for every breath you take!

Okay so, today is my Mommy’s birthday and I BEYOND GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR ALL THINGS THAT IS HER!!! ???????

Kai! As you all know, I am head over heels, drunk in love, will die, borrow or steal, ridiculously, and deliriously IN LOVE WITH MY MOMMY! While I can write a book (with several volumes) about this woman’s work in my life personally, I’ll like to share this recent story of how she impacted the life of widow in need.

A few weeks ago, a lady came to my mom in cry for help. This lady lost her husband recently and had no money to pay tuition for her kids. My mom told her she didn’t have anything to give her at the moment but said she was expecting something soon and will let her know when she does. Then my mom did something I truly believe separates her from every other person.

My mom told this lady her story. She told this lady that she did not know her dad. Her mom (my grandma) became a widow at a young age also with 6 kids to fend for. She and her siblings grew up extremely poor and sometimes had to quit school for a while and farm when they could not afford tuition.

In encouragement, she told her that whatever God says someone would be, that person MUST BE. By the grace of God, different avenues were created for all of them to go to school and achieve various levels of success. My mom concluded by reminding the woman it is God Who raises children and that the God whom she serves will provide for her and her children, as He did for my grandmother and her babies.

As promised, when my mom came across the funds she was waiting for, she went to meet the woman to give her the money. To my mom’s surprise the lady was in greater spirits. She thanked my mom for sharing her story. She said she still didn’t have the money yet but she has faith that regardless of how bad things get, God is still God, and everything will be okay. She thanked my mom when she gave her the funds and blessed her for always sharing whatever she had.

I chose this particular story because I wanted make a few points:

1. Whatever God said someone will be, she/he will be. Never let your current condition deter you from believing for better.

2. Money is not everything. “Advice” does not pay bills (TRUST ME I KNOW! I have tried!?) BUT don’t tune people out the moment you don’t get the response you want. You could miss out on a lifelong lesson.

3. Be approachable! Despite everything my mom has been through, she has an amazing heart and welcoming spirit. There are people far richer than my mom who live in the same area but no one ever goes to for anything because they just suck! Be the person you’d want to meet at your lowest moment.

Mommy,
I believe in the fullness of EVERY possibility because of you! Thank you for your generosity, in any way, shape or form it may come. May you see and receive the abundance of God’s love, in the land of the living, AMEN! I love you Girl… You are the human source of all I am, are and hope to be.

Thank you all so much for reading! Please help me wish my mommy a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Love always,
Oby.C
