A year ago something amazing happened to me…. I received a check in the mail from my previous employer for work performed when I was no longer there. After a lot of back and forth (because I was sure it was a mistake), I got the go ahead from the agency to cash it.
Elated, I sent out an email to my family and extremely close friends telling them what happened and why it is good to be good and all what not.
That was my first confession… ☺️
Today is December 1, 2015 and I CANNOT BELIEVE that what started off as emails with gist to loved ones has turned into a full functioning website with not just personal stories but also other stories and useful tips that people have and can benefit from.
It has not been easy – I have changed the theme/layout of this blog 5 times, I have returned from vacation to find this blog FLOATED with spam comments, some people (including some of my siblings) who encouraged me to create this blog have stopped reading it, I have spent MONEY on maintaining this site that only a handful of people read, lost the respect of people who thought I’ve always had it together, I have exposed parts of my life that I never wanted to relive again and you will not believe the number of insults and comments I have received from people for putting myself “out there”.
But I AM STILL HERE!
I still don’t know what I’m doing but I am extremely proud of myself for pushing!
To everyone who read my first email and is still reading these posts, to people I’ve told about this and have become active readers over the past months and to the people who continue to encourage me everyday, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You are not wasting your time with me… I promise you I will make you proud that you have been an active participant in my journey. This is just the beginning and THIS IS OUR VICTORY!! AMEN!?
